Score for Frankenstein Recorded

String parts for Eamonn O'Dwyer's score for "Frankenstein: The Year Without A Summer" by Helen Davis and the Dorset Corset Theatre Company went into the studio in Brighton today, under the expert ear of audio engineer Steve Brown. The recording features players from the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by O'Dwyer himself, who is also currently appearing as The Songman in the National's acclaimed production of War Horse.

Jamsheed Master has been engaged as sound designer for Frankenstein: "This is new territory for me but very exciting. The piece is very dark and moody and set during a summer in which it rained constantly. This means I'm creating a lot of rain, thunderstorms, atmosphere and monsters. The show includes experiments with lightening and boat journeys and icebergs, it's a real thriller, and from a sound design point of view it's full of great opportunities."

Tour dates run throughout October and November 2010 right across the south west. For more visit www.dorsetcorset.co.uk/2.html
